Domestic waste water in areas that are not served by centralized or urban waste water treatment systems are still the main source of environmental pollution. The local waste water treatment facility is generally used in areas that are not served by urban wastewater treatment systems. Sophisticated Wastewater Water Treatment Facilities such as Johkasou or Biofilter has been developed and introduced as a solution for domestic wastewater pollution in developed countries. Akantetapi, Johkasou and biofilter facilities for each individual household in Indonesia are still felt quite expensive and requires operational that is not easy. Because of this, in this study there will be research on the use of Johkasou and biofilter facilities communally to treat domestic waste water from office buildings. Performance of the Johkasou and Biofilter facilities in setting aside several main parameters in domestic wastewater such as organic substances (BOD and COD), total nitrogen (TN), total postports (TP), suspended solids (TSS), and bacteria indicators (Escherichia coli and total Coliforms) will be evaluated temporally. The potential for recycling from the processed water will also be studied as a water source for the needs around the office building. The development method of testing the performance of the local system of domestic waste water treatment facilities will also be carried out by looking at the main parameters that affect water quality and require intensive monitoring. The results obtained are expected to be the first reference in the performance of the performance of local systems of domestic waste water in Indonesia and is a consideration in the development of local system domestic waste water treatment facilities for office buildings in Indonesia.
