Activity Summary

The number of opinions / reviews on product / service review documents, is not possible for consumers / prospective consumers to read the entire opinion. But the majority of opinion conducts the same summary for each user. While sometimes every user has different interests and needs. There are times when consumers / prospective consumers do not know exactly aspects / features of what object to be searched or interest in detailed information of a product until the consumer reads a summary.

This research aims to produce a personalization method of opinion hip which can meet the needs of consumer / prospective opinions. Personalize summary refers to interest and needs, which are accompanied by an interactive mechanism to explore interest and user needs review of the product, will be aspects and forms of the desired summary presentation. This research will be carried out in 3 stages, namely: 1) the development of automatic extraction methods, object features and opinions; 2) development of the opinion polarity classification method; and 3) The development of the personalization method of opinion summary refers to the interests and needs of consumers / prospective consumers with an interactive mechanism.

In this study, personalization of summarizing aspect-based opinations by referring to the interests and needs of users through interactive mechanisms is expected to help consumers / prospective consumers to get a summary that is in accordance with the interests, needs and constectuality of his opinion. The main contribution of this study is the development of the personalization method of opinion for a particular product domain that refers to the interests and needs of consumers / prospective consumers adapted to the desired summary presentation form. These contributions include the development of objects extraction methods, object features and opinions automatically and the development of the opinion polarity classification method.

With the personalization of the summary of the opinion, it will be able to meet the needs of consumer opinions / prospective consumers in accordance with interest in the aspect and form of summary presentation. In addition, this study also has an impact on consumers / prospective consumers to facilitate understanding summaries and helps direct the decision making.
